Instructions Activity Session
Write a "Guide for the New Israeli Driver". Include 10 driving rules Start in Class and finish at home 1

Write an opinion composition. Which rule, in your opinion, is the most important of the ten you wrote? Choose one or two rules to write about.

Introduction: Discuss the rule you've chosen and say why you've chosen it.

Body: Give examples and explanations

Conclusion

Use connectors, divide your work into clear paragraphs, watch spelling, grammar and punctuation

In Class 2
Interview somebody who's been in an accident. Write a report of this interview At home 3
Group work (4 in a group): talk about your "most important rule" and about the interview you conducted. Write a report about each of the other three pupils' work In Class 4
Put your work together.

YOU MAY REWRITE OR RETYPE YOUR WORK BUT YOU MUST INCLUDE THE ORIGINALS IN THE PROJECT.

You don't have to use a computer, so please don't say "my printer didn't work".

 

Your project should include:

  • Cover page
  • Introduction
  • The four parts of the project:

(1)   Guide for the New Israeli Driver

(2)   Opinion Composition

(3)   Interview

(4)   Group work report

  • Conclusion and reflection – did this project make you more aware of road safety? Explain.
  • Bibliography – Where did you find the rules? Where was the interview from?
  • Three photographs (from the newspaper or the internet) with English captions written by you
The project should be placed in a plastic folder THE ENGLISH WAY – i.e. from left to right.
